Haha!! Finally I success to cook my Indian curry! haha!! This time is West Indian curry. The first time I cook was the South Indian curry. This recepi is sponsor by my friend Suchita...hahaha!! Thanks a lot, Mr.Quah and I like it very very much!! I really cannot imagine I can cook it!! wahaha!!
Marinate chicken
3 big Onion, 1 big garlic, few pieces ginger, few tomato paste, 1/2 teaspoon of Garam masala, 1/2 teaspoon of Cummin powder, 1/2 teaspoon Corriander powder, 1 teaspoon paprika powder, 1 and 1/2 teaspoon of tumerik powder, 1 teaspoon of salt, 5 spoon of Oil.
Cooking
Heat oil in the pan
Add in 4 pieces of bayleaves, 2 Cinnamon stick, 3 Cardamom. Fry till you smell the aroma.
Add in the potatoes (I boil the potatoes first before add in, cause it so hard to turn soft).
Add in the marinate chicken, pour 1 cup of water, then boil it till you see the red oil seperate from the sauce.
Start seasoning with salt, sugar, and chili powder. (according to your taste)
Turn off the gas, close the lid for 10 minutes. Then ready to searve.
Em!! When I bake this, my whole apartment smell good!! Cause I'm baking a strawberry cake. Do you still remember my lemon cake? which I bake last time, using the cake mixes powder which is a " instant cake powder". I just add 3 eggs, oil and water. Then after 30 minutes your cake is ready!! haha!!
The white cream also a "instant cream powder", just add milk and beat with high speed!! hahaha!!
Yesterday, I cook happily in the kitchen, cause I was thinking to eat lemon sauce with chicken since early morning. When about 12pm, Mr.Quah suddenly call me, and tell me today he maybe come back at 1pm, he ask me to eat first. Okie lo, I enjoy my great lunch by myself happily....and suddenly he call again around 1:20pm, tell me, he really cannot come back already, cause now all his team is in the motivated mode, they want to finish all the work!! haha!! Okie lo, I pack his lunch in to the container and serve as his dinner!! haha!!
18 March 2008 (Wednesday) is Mr.Quah Oman's friends wedding day. When we know we are invited, firstly, we are so excited, cause I always want to understand more about their culture; secondly, we feel a little bit worry, cause we know that, this party will celebrate separately, into men and lady. I will be allocated to others room, join together with the ladies (no the bride side, is the groom's sister). And I worry they can't understand my English!! Only I can do is point here, point there, mimic here and there, yes here, no there!! hope that they could understand me hahaha!! Besides, this party is start on 10pm at night, Mr.Quah say tomorrow still need to work, but..but... this is a good opportunity for me...I'm in contradictions want to go?? don't want to go?? Finally...we go!! Yeah!!
When we are there, the groom tell us, Today they just singing, dancing and eat some food. They will go to fetch his bride tomorrow 10pm. Ah!!!! I though I can see bride today!! haizzz!! maybe tomorrow is not open for the guests???!! hehe
Ok, back to the party environment. We stand there listen to the Arabic music, and Arabic men dance with the stick!! (I already upload to the YOUTUBE)After that, the groom bring me to the lady room. He told me, the girl will help me draw something on my hand "Hanna tattoos". I'm so excited, cause I never try this before. hehe!! When I saw his mom, I greet her with "Assalamulaikum" she feel so happy and shock!! When I enter the house I saw some "aunty" dancing sexily in the room, the music is so loud haha!! And soon, all the kids standing around me. I guess they are curious about me!!!! Then, I notice that the ladies very nervous too, I think maybe the communication problem. hehe!! Luckily, there is one girl, she can communicate with me in English!! Thanks God!! They told me, they like Malaysia very much!! wahaaha!! So proud to hear that!! And the girl, who helps me to do the tattoos, she will get marry soon, in this coming May, she ask me to come over again to her wedding day. Without think twice, I agree to come!! Yuppy!!
For my hand, they told me, if I want darker color, I need to keep and wash it tomorrow. But, I need to sleep, so I don't care anymore, I wash and it soon become orange color. hahahah!! But the next day, the orange color change into dark brown!! Nice also!!
After finish tattoos, they want to serve me some food, but I cannot touch anything, so they put in the container and give me bring back home!! Don't ask me what is that...hahaha because I also don't know!! Okie, on top have some raisin and the onion, the taste is sour. On the bottom part, I think is some mesh bean, the taste is a bit salty!! hahah!! I like the food so much!!!
Anyway, I would like this wish him again. "Mohammad, we wish you have a wonderful marriage life!!!"
18 March 2008 (星期三)是Mr.Quah同事的婚礼。当我们知道，我们被邀请时，第一就是很兴奋，终于有机会真正接触本地人了；第二就是有些顾虑，因为这里的婚礼是男女分开庆祝的，就是说我会被带到另一个地方去（不是新娘的房间，是新郎的姐妹房间）。Mr.Quah当然就和男的在一起。问题就是，她们的英文不太好，跟我只能比手花脚的。所以去的时候都是战战兢兢的。还有就是他们的party是在晚上十点开始，本来怕Mr.Quah累，明天还要上班，就不太要去；但是矛盾的我，又不想放弃这个难得的机会，难得让我了解，她们黑面纱的另一面！！哈哈！！
This is my first time to use this separate spices. Normally, I use what I brought from Malaysia, all the spices is included, I just need to add garlic, and onion then my Malaysian Chinese style curry chicken is done. But this time my curry powder is finish. So, I have to buy all the separate ingredient and spices. Before I buy, I search in the internet about indian curry. And the recipe show need all this spices...and when I cook, I so "innocent" and never think the recipe is cook for 10 person or more. I follow all the ingredient need in the recipe....end up my curry is tooooooooo spicy!!! Oh My God!!!!!!!
okla...I told Mr.Quah..give me another chance...I will adjust this indian curry chicken to chinese curry chicken!!! hehehehe!!
I love sweet corn chicken soup very much. I learn from my mom!!! Besides, sweet corn sometime she will use apple and papaya to cook soup!! maybe is new for others, but for me is quite normal!!hehe!! Yesterday I saw very fresh sweet corn in the market so I decided to cook this today!! hehe!! very nice to drink oh!!!
I said to him last week. We have 2 days holiday. So, I really think is "mine holiday" totally no need to cook!! hehe!! He prepared everything. And I still remember I'm playing facebook games that time...wakakakka... I just go in kitchen to take some photo!!
When I back Malaysia for 2 months, I had taught him some recipe. Luckily, he still remember, and able to cook this 2 dishes!! hehehe!!
Last Wednesday 11 March 2008. We have a small farewell party for Eliza in Suchita's house. Which is a place we always meet up. Eliza is from Brazil, her husband only work in Oman for 3 months, now the work is done, so they are leaving to Spain for another new project. Although I know Eliza in a very short while, only 2 months. But I feel happy when talk to her, we can share our opinion freely. One thing she say, and I also feel is correct. She said: If a person say something that make you feel unconfortable and sad; you should think is it worth that you feel bad and sad because of them?? We are not live because of them, and I don't need to depend them for any of my life, so why we need to feel sad for them." haha!! True right!! And actually, she is one year older than my mom, but she more like my friend!! hehe!! Maybe she is also a kid teacher, so the way she talk and plus the action is a bit magnifying and cute...wakakakak!!!
Besides, I also learn Spanish from her. I still remember the first word I learn is "See you tomorrow" in Spanish is "Has ta ma ya na" and one more is "Thankyou very much" in Spanish is "Mu cha Gra xias".
And now I would like to say thanks again to my spanish teacher "Mu Cha Gra Xias, Pro Fei So Ra!!" haha!!
在上星期三下午，11 March 2008。就在我们常常聊天的地方和Eliza有一个小小的欢送会。Eliza是来自巴西的朋友，她和丈夫只在这里逗留3个月。丈夫工作完了，他们就去另一场工作在西班牙。虽然, 我和Eliza认识的时间并不长，就只有短短的２个月。但是，和她聊天真的很开心，我们无所不谈，最让我刻骨铭心的是: 她说:＂假如有一个人说的话让你觉得很难堪，很难受; 你想想，那个人是不是值得你为他所说的话而难过，痛心?? 我们又不是为了他而生存，他又不是给我生活费，给予我饭吃的那个人。为什么我还要为了他而伤心难过呢？＂哈哈！真的一语惊醒梦中人。她大我妈妈一岁，可是她却像我的朋友。可能，他也是幼教老师，所以讲话，动作方面都比较夸张可爱！！
我和她学习一些西班牙的生活常语。我还记得我第一句学会的是"明天见" 西班牙语: Has Ta Ma Ya na. 还有 "Thankyou very much" 西班牙语: Mu cha Gra xias" 哈哈！！
借此机会, 我想和我的西班牙语老师说声谢谢. "Mu Cha Gra Xias, Pro Fei So Ra!!" 哈哈！！
If you visit Oman, you'll notice there are seldom womens come out shopping alone in the mall. Most of them will follow husband and their family members. For us, all the wives organized some outdoor activites to pass the boring afternoon. hehe!! We ask our husband company's driver to fetch us there, good huh!! Poor husband working hardly and wives shopping happily!!

I call this "Qi bao fan" in Chinese. But in english translation will be seven ingredients rice!! haha!! Funny name. But normally in chinese cuisine will have eight ingredients, but this recipe I change myself, so is not the real recipe. I just gave a name, don't be too serious about the name okie!! wakakakka!! The main taste is from the chinese dried mushroom and the chinese sausage. Okie!! What is the seven ingredients (Chinese mushroom, chinese sausage, cabbage, carrot, chicken meat, egg, and leek....opps!! one more is the rice) .
Last Friday, we went to a company guest house in Muscat, Oman. Muscat is the capital of Oman. We spent a great day over there! ! I love swimming very much, but in Middle East country, I really not dare to wear my own swimming suit, so I borrow from my neighbour a long-sleeve, and long pants swimming suit. With that I can swim freely in the pool!! wakaka!!
My neighbors are also from Malaysia, they also went holiday together with us..so good! Mr.Quah don't like swimming, so my neighbour's daughter and son accompany me to swim. I was long time didn't swim since I came Oman, so I swim a bit slow Ha ha!
Haha!! She is my student in Shichida method school!! Yesterday, I received her mother email and she sent me her daugther photo!! Wow!! You know what, once I open this email, my heart really melt when I saw her smile!! She is one of my favorite student. Now she is 3 years and 4 months. She start to join my class when she was 2 years!! I still remember she is one of the most excited student in class, she likes me a lot and she refuse to go home after class, wahahaha!! she even say bye-bye to her father and mother, just want to stay with me in class. haha!!
Beside, she can recited Phonic A for Apple, till Z for Zebra, when she was 2 years and 4 months. And she can follow my instruction very well!! The most cute part is, she loves dance and able to remember the step in the dance!! hahah!!
Yeah!! Finally I bought a new camera Sony Cybershot DSC-H10!! I bought it in Muscat City center. Before I bough this, I serch lots of infomation in the internet!! And I know Canon is the best camera compare than others. Before we go there, I wrote a list with their price and the funtion of the camera. In my list, I have Canon G10, Canon powershot 110, Nikon P80, and Nikon P6000. But, unfortunaly the shop there don't sell Nikon Camera. Oh no! I have to delete Nikon from my list!!! Ok!! Fine!! I serch other bran.
I look for Canon G10. Wow!! The salemen highly recommend this camera to us!! And when I hold it, I knew that, I don't like!! not because of the function of this camera. I know it is good!! But this too big for me!! And plus...it look so professional, but actually I'm not so pro in taking photo!! hehe!! So, this camera delete again in my list!!
So, finally we decided to buy Canon powershot 110. Which I serch in the internet this camera has A+ review. When we about to pay. One Omani men come to us, and he recommends us another one, which is Sony Cybershot H10. He said this camera has high defination and he took the photo with both camere, we saw the differen!! hehe finally we agree to take Sony!! hahahah So sorry ya Canon!! I know you alwasy is the best!! hehe!!
It look simple, and easy to carry. I know myself, I'm very careless, if I spoil G10, I think sure Mr.Quah will blame me!!! hehe!!
This few day really boring, cause don't have camera I cannot take photo...haizzz!!! Show u my last week menu!!!
Because the weather start changing now, from winter to summer!! Morning and night is cool but in the afternoon is damm hot...so like usual I get sick!!! I cook this for my lunch!! I like ginger...hehe!! But this Mr.Quah also don't like...I always cook the thing he don't like ya!!! hahahah!!! I'm a bad house wife!!
Today, as usual reply topic in forum and check email and so on. Suddenly discovered that I was given a prize in children education chinese's forum. I think I really do not deserve it! ! ! My contribution in this forum is too little! ! ! haha!! But anyway, I will keep it up, and find more information to help those parents who need to know more about Shichida method! ! ! Thanks and Thanks again! ! Although it is not a big and luxury prize. If just a card, I'll still happy with that! At least I know I still can contribute my knowledget to the society!!! hehe
